Sleep Difficulties.
Many individuals have reported difficulties with sleep including falling asleep, staying asleep, or achieving restful sleep. Sometimes these difficulties become chronic in nature, leading to sleep disorders such as Insomnia. The effects of long-term sleep deprivation can lead to or heighten anxiety and depression, short- and long-term memory issues, weakened immunity, and increased blood pressure.

In the central nervous system (CNS), chronic sleep difficulties is likely related to underlying hyper-arousal or stress response (fight, flight, freeze).
Studies have found that NeurOptimal® neurofeedback training improved adherence to cognitive-behavioural sleep strategies, as well as reduced physiological arousal and improved sleep.
